Dear Diary,
Where oh where has the years gone by from or to....Fifty three years ago today, Donna and I stood at the altar of Mock's Crest Evangelical church, and the Rev. David Richard tied a know that has not been broken. PTL
Would you believe that back then, we drove a 1954 blue Chevrolet, spent about 25 cents per gallon for gas. Cigarettes were about $2.00 a carton, or a penny per cigarette. The motel we had at Seaside had t-v, (black and white, no color back then) and you had to pay .25 for about 30 minutes of viewing....can you imagine watching t-v on your wedding night? We did.....
We both bowled back then, and we took our bowling balls to the beach with us and found a alley on Saturday and bowled. Think I can still feel the sand from the beach on my bowling shoes. We returned Sunday morning as there was a reception at Donna's folks place Sunday afternoon to celebrate our wedding. Yes, its been 53 years, a lot has happened, and I pray by this time next year, I can share some of the highlights of this year with you.
We are blessed to have three wonderful children, who have wonderful mates, and to have seven grandchildren, eight if you count Michelle, and we shall. so we have eight wonderful grandchildren. We are indeed blessed.
I know that one or two of you read this, and so want you to know you are a blessing to me. Would show you pictures of our wedding day, but I doubt I can find one and my skanner doesn't want to skan to the computer anymore, so this will be just a written page today.
My printer or computer is chirping at me. Don't know what it means, I just keep on typing. But for now will close.
Howard
