Wow!, in case you noticed, I missed sending a Halloween greeting to each of you. But, as you can see the spiders have been busy in our neighborhood. This one was actually next door in Laura's back yard.
Luckily for me, the dew was on the web, and I did not run into it. Not too sure the spider was even in the picture, probably out in the berry patch looking for some fresh raspberries. Oh, you think they are not ripe this time of the year? You are mistaken, I picked a couple dozen of them just today, can't understand why there are so many on the vine at this time of the year, but they are there.
Her apple tree has a bunch of new apples on them too, WHAT in the world is going on anyway? We have been enjoying fresh tomatoes. Had a freeze about 6 weeks ago, and I picked a bunch of green tomatoes, and put them on a window sill, and they are turning red and taste much better than what you can get in the store. I went out around 10:00 Tuesday night and picked all I could find by flashlight, and they will ripen up for us too.
I was sort of giving a friend a bad time today as she has posted a blog since Aug 21st, and then I checked my own blog and see it was October 24th on my last posting. Shame on me. I guess I've been busy, but its hard to tell what its been about. I did pull a few ribs loose in my back, and have been taking it easy the past two weeks, have one poking me in the back right now, but I don't think I'm going to see the Bone Cruncher tomorrow, may just grin and bear it. Or is it bare it? Not sure which bear is correct here.
Have enjoyed sending letters to my brother Harold, for he likes to pick out all my poor grammar which I am sure is plenty bad. English and writing was not one of my favorite subjects in school, but thats another life time ago.
Am wondering what all my readers are doing, or do I have any readers out ther? If so, let me hear from you, who knows you may win another big jackpot prize, that I offer now and then. But its important that you read and reply.
Well, its news time, and I hate to miss all the good news. Today, we are trying to decide what street to rename after Cesar Chavez. A select group wants to rename Interstate avenue (I wrote the mayor about that, no reply from him yet) and just yesterday, 4 of our commissioners decided to de-rail the whole project by changing 4th Avenue downtown to Cesar Chavez Ave. Oh boy, bet the merchants on 4th avenue are getting ready to bear arms (there's that word again), and you know where city hall is located don't you, 4th avenue. Go get them boys.
Will try and post again before Thanksgiving but if I don't please have a great Thanksgiving and remember Who we need to be most thankful for, and thats Jesus. PTL
Cherrio, Howard
