Monday, the 18th of September,
Time seems to fly by these days, even though I am not employed by anyone, I am still finding much to do. As I shared with a friend the other day, I have more time to do it in, so what is the hurry to get it done, hence I don't get as much done as I used to.
Today it is raining, finally! Has been dry for so long, that the grass has dried up and turned brown. It reminds me of how the grass is in winter, in the midwest. But, todays rain, will be a start in returning it to its GREEN beauty. Nothing can compare I don't think to the GREEN beauty we saw in Ireland. It is so intense it seems.
I'm wondering if anyone even reads this blog. Or am I just spending money on air time to put on a bunch of worthless words. Do me a favor and send me a e-mail, my address for it is howardonna@aol.com. I enjoy getting messages anyway, and if your reading this and replying then I'll know I'm not wasting time.
We had a very enjoyable time at Lou & Johns Saturday, weather was nice enough that we could have a outside bbq style meal. Had hot dogs, baked beans, salads, chips, drinks, watermellon, and good fellowship. Can't ask for much more than that can you? Then yesterday, I enjoyed a good soccer game at the University of Portland, thanks to my neighbor Laura who supplied the ticket. The U of P won, over Portland State University 4 to zip. The UofP have a very good game, only loss was to Univ of No Carolina couple weeks ago.
Then last night, went to church to hear a man who has memorized the first 22 chapters of Genesis, and is able to quote it in a very dramatic way. Was very good, I suppose I could have taken my bible and followed along, but I've read it enough to know he was right on.
Well, think I will sign off for today, go find some breakfast, and read the newspaper, to see who has been killing who, who the loosers were in yesterdays football game and then will attack my day. Nothing special planned, the rain will determine what I do. Might come back here and clean up this room I'm sitting in, for it surely needs it.
Many old books, I should throw out, or give away, as I'll probably never read many of them, and someone else might get some good out of them. So, I'll just say" cherio for the present"
