Friday evening again, where has all the time gone by to. I see it was a week ago that I last posted any events. Can't recall anything special happening last Saturday, unless I peeled apples and made apple sauce. Oh, I wish I could share some with you, they are so good. I peeled about a dozen apples today and have a nice pan full ready to cook. It was in the 90's today here, and I didn't want to heat up the kitchen, so put them in the freezer. Will cook them into sauce next week when the temperatures come down.
Sunday was a BIG day, church and Bible classes, home for a quick KFC sandwich, and then we headed for Independance, Or. Our neighbor, Roger & Debbie were tying the know at a beautiful garden setting. Was it ever HOT sitting out in the sun, but worth it to see these beautiful people become one. Our neighbor Carmalita did the brides and about 10 others hair, and we got to set with her and Kirk and their son Neijin, at the wedding and the dinner table afterwards. Both of us were ready to just come home, and not doddle along some country roads, on such a hot day. How thankful I am for air conditioning in the car.
A somewhat uneventual week, Donna worked Monday & Wednesday, and I scrapped alum I think all 5 days this week. Just a few windows at a time, but kept me busy for a hour or so each day. Went over to Laura's one afternoon, and pulled nails from some lathes. I think if I was to do the whole pile, it could take me most of the winter and spring, their are so many.
Oh yes, Monday I picked up Sandra Rogers and we went down to Columbia Cemetery and picked wild blackberries. Oh, they are so big and sweet. Donna and I enjoyed them on ice cream, cereal and where ever we could eat them. I went back down Thursday and got a couple of boxes more. Gave a few to Mike & Nancy across the street. I enjoy sharing them with other folks when I can.
Oh, how I wish I knew how to include pictures on this thing. I would show you the size of these apples I've been cutting up, compared to a baseball that I put in the same picture. But, you'll just have to get by without them for now.
Watched most of 3 little league baseball games today. Our Beaverton team didn't do too well, a bases loaded home run, sort of demoralized them. I've never seen a bunch of kids so dejected for 5 innings as they were. The only way they will go any further is to get some winning spirit in their young lives.
What say I close for now, will try and get pictures for you soon.
