Hello everybody, nice seeing you!
Does that sound familiar? Was the greeting for many years by Ed Wahlen, Sports commentator for KOIN tv. He suffered a stroke many years ago & was never the same after he came back, and was let go. Lives a very lonely life from what I could gather from the last issue of the Tribune newspaper.
Well, today is nearly over, up at 7:00 read my Bible, drank some coffee, fed Harley next door, also got 3/4 mile walk in over in the park. Missed the heavy showers that came in over night. The curb was running water 6 inches deep and about 15 inches wide when I went out. Took a old golfing umbrella that has seen better days, and made it around the park in record time.
Had a good church service today, our new pastor was with us and gave a good sermon from Ephesians 4. Won't try and remember all the points of the sermon, but enjoyed it, and he has slowed down his delivery somewhat from a month ago, and I suspect as he gets more comfortable in the pulpit, will slow it down some more.
Grabbed a hamburger on the way home, and then slept through some baseball. Was a 3 or 4 car wreck on the Northbound freeway. and cars were backed up as far South as the eye could see. I wanted to get out and tell those lined up on Denver avenue going North to turn around as it could be hours before it would clear, but of course no good way to do that.
Tonight went to a concert over at the U of Ptld, Marette our good friend was playing in the University Orchestra. Was very nice.
Now, after having a xxl Chulpa from Taco Bell, am ready for the news, and then off to bed.
So Cheerio
