Dear Friends, if there any of you who are still trying to find my latest blog.....well, by my records it was on August 20th, alto this machine said I published one back in September.....Either way its been way too long since I blogged.

I've been encouraging my friends in our bible study to check out the blogs of our missionaries, and guess I've been pointing fingers at myself by not getting something fresh on this.

So much has happened, I can't begin to cover it all tonight, but will put on a few items. My grandson Karl surprised me awhile back when he pulled out a school trumpet and played a few tunes. I didn't know he had taken up the instrument in September when he started middle school, and he sounds good on it. I had a old one I had bought at a yard sale, and it looked and sounded better than the school one, so gave it to him, his instructor said it sounded better, so I'm glad I had it. Now if one of the others would take up trombone, I have a fairly good one I'll gladly give to whomever.

I sort of promised Karl if he got really good, I'd go out and buy him a higher quality trumpet so he can get the very best sounds out. I try and encourage kids that way whenever I can. I have a violin that the same applies. I want to know they are serious before I give a quality instrument away.

Women's soccer season is over for another year, this past year since I last blogged, I saw 10 University of Portland womens soccer games, and two mens games. I have a pretty good deal, I take care of neighbor Laura's yard and she gets me a reserved seat for the games. Thats a good deal for me, and probably if you added up yard upkeep, she is getting a good deal too. I get free apples & red raspberries plus the soccer ticket, so I'm happly with the arrangement.

We (the church choir) is almost ready for Sundays choir presentation at our church. Think I counted 18 different songs we will be singing (more than my voice can handle, so I'll probably just mouth the words for some of the congregational songs) so I have something left for the end. We have a great choir director in Mel, and I really appreciate the work he puts into it.

Tomorrow, is Grace's day to come to Grama & Grampa's house. We usually pick her up so Chris has some free time, and he gets her at the end of the day. We enjoy her immensely, and I guess she likes us too.

Had 11 here for Thanksgiving dinner, of turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, sweet potatoes, rolls, olives, green beans, jam, drinks & some pumpkin pie type frozen dessert. After the dinner, I pulled out the dominos and us guys played chicken foot. Played two games, and I think I was the big loser on both games. It was good for the little guys as well as us older ones. Beats sitting around watching football or pulling each others hair.

Sometimes when weather is good, we get outside, but this was a inside sort of day.

Well, think I'm going to close for tonight..
