Its several days later, January 13th to be exact. I apologize if you have been unable to find this blog, using my old handle of www.gpahoward.blogspot.com I went to the new revised version of this and there are times, I can't even get on to put on a new posting.
Want to make a couple corrections to that last post, we were near Yachats, not Netarts, miles apart, I believe. And the little church we went to was at Waldport not Taft as I wrongly reported. Think my brain gets short circuited at times, is that dreaded disease "Altheimers" coming into my life? Will just wait a few months or years and see, you will have to be the judge.
Oh Baby, its cold outside. Went down to around 22 last night, and may dip lower tonight, kind of hard to keep warm. But thats not cold, when I see that Denver was in the single digits today, and parts of the midwest are that way too. Oh, give me back my rain.
Went out to Paul & Sue's this afternoon, to take some clothes Donna had mended for the kids, and on the way back saw a few snow drops. Were so tiny you could hardly tell it was snow. May they all go away for awhile. We also saw Breanna's pet mouse, have already forgotten its name, but its cute, and grandma got to hold it, BUT, grandpa declined.
Lost a dear friend this week, Ina Milner, have known her since we started going to Mocks Crest Evangelical church in 1955. She and her family in fact, lived in this house somewhere in the late 40's to early 50's. Neil was a grocer in the Kenton district, and when grocery stores started selling beer and cigarettes, he took a good Christian stand, and refused to sell them. Of course, his good customers chose to go elsewhere, and he lost his business, and eventually his home here too. Our prayers go out to Dorothy Jean who was very close to her mom, and her brothers.
Think maybe I should close for tonight, won't put any pictures on this time, but might next, if I can find this spot again.
Cherrio!
